Exploring Kuah Town From the ADYA Hotel Langkawi

The ADYA Hotel is the newest hotel in Kuah Town and we were excited to be checking in for a few days to find out all that it has to offer. Kuah is Langkawi’s main city center and the ADYA Hotel is ideally situated for quick and easy access to some of the best shopping and restaurants on the island. The main jetty, where the big ferries and many diving and snorkeling excursions depart, is just 500 m from the hotel and the big duty-free shopping mall, Langkawi Parade, is just steps away. After spending a few nights on a secluded island, we were ready for a bit of city life!

The ADYA is a sleek and modern hotel that is suited for both holiday and business travelers. The lobby itself was very elegantly decorated, with beautiful chandeliers hanging down from the ceilings. Before even entering the hotel, we were welcomed by cheerful staff opening our car doors and helping us with our luggage. We were offered cold towels (which were much needed in the heavy humidity) and a refreshing welcome drink that was some kind of delicious! Every staff member at the hotel made sure to greet us, not just on our arrival, but throughout the duration of our stay which made us always feel so welcome!

The rooms were spacious and modern and came with all the necessities. The best part of all, however, were the breathtaking views of Langkawi right from our private balcony!

The hotel has plenty of amenities you keep you relaxed and occupied. However, when we weren’t out exploring all that Langkawi how to offer, this is where we preferred to spend our free time – the infinity pool!

To be surrounded by lush green mountains and sparkling blue waters on each side was pure bliss. You’d never know you were situated in the heart of bustling Kuah Town.

Also on the 2nd floor is a private pool for women, a health spa, and a fitness center for those trying to squeeze in a little fitness. I must say the views really aren’t too shabby and make getting on the treadmill a lot more appealing.

We had the opportunity to tour one of the beautiful premium suites and I must say it was really impressive. These rooms are tastefully decorated with a balcony off the bedroom and another off the living area so you are surrounded by the sea views on each side. The rates start at RM 1600 but they are currently having a promo and we’ve seen rates as much as 50% off.

The hotel has a massive breakfast buffet each morning with a wide variety of International dishes to choose from. We usually devoured enough food that it kept us held over until dinner. In the evenings, we enjoyed strolling around town and discovering new restaurants to eat. There are a lot of seafood restaurants in the area and Kuah’s night market is just around the corner, but we were always on the hunt for some chicken masala and garlic naan! We found a fantastic Indian spot that seemed to be a favorite among the locals right down the road from the hotel and ended up going back 2 nights in a row. We had quite a feast for less than $6 USD!

On our last evening as we were walking back to the hotel, we were presented with the most magical sunset I’ve ever seen blasting shades of purple, yellow and red lighting up the sky. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful stay at the ADYA Hotel and our incredible week in beautiful Langkawi!

We found Superior rooms starting at just $40/night which is really affordable, especially for the quality and service you are getting! For more information on the ADYA Hotel check out their website or click here to check current prices

A huge Thank You to Naturally Langkawi and ADYA Hotel for making this trip possible!
